THE WEST TOWER
西楼
The billows come and go like cloud.
海浪如云去却回
The north wind blows up thunder loud.
北风吹起数声雷
All curtains rolled up in west tower.
朱楼四面钩疏箔
I’ll see from hills come sudden shower.
卧看千山急雨来
Drinking alone under the moon
月下独酌
Among the flowers, from a pot of wine.
花间一壶酒
I drink without a companion of mine.
独酌无相亲
I raise my cup to invite the moon who blends
举杯邀明月
Her light with my shadow and we're three friends.
对影成三人
The moon does not know how to drink her share
月既不解饮
Vain my shadow follows me here and there
影徒随我身
Together with them for the time I stay
暂伴月将影
And make merry before spring's spent away
行乐须及春
I sing and the moon lingers to hear my song
我歌月徘徊
My shadows a mess while I dance along
我舞影零乱
Sober, we three remain cheerful and gay
醒时同交欢
Drunken, we part and each may go his way
醉后各分散
Our friendship will outshine all earthly love
永结无情游
Next time we'll meet beyond the stars above

锦瑟
Why should the zither sad have fifty strings ?
锦瑟无端五十弦
Each string,each strain evokes but vanished spring.
一弦一柱思华年
Dim morning dream to be a butterfly.
庄生晓梦迷蝴蝶
Amorous heart poured out in cuckoo's cry.
望帝春心托杜鹃
In moonlit pearls see tears in mermaid's eyes.
沧海月明珠有泪
Form sunburnt emerald watch vapor rise!
蓝田日暖玉生烟
Such feeling cannot be recalled again
此情可待成追忆？
It seemed long lost e'en when it was felt then.
只是当时已惘然
